Since that time the Society has now developed further collaborative agreements with other Universities in the United Kingdom and is continuing to develop further programmes. London Metropolitan University
The course is accredited by The Society of Sports Therapists (SST) and provides a strong scientific basis from which the pathologies and management of sports injuries can be understood. Students develop their analytical and diagnostic skills through participation in practical sessions, peer review and close staff supervision.

Leeds Metropolitan University

With the national drive to improve health, and the increasing numbers of people participating  in sport and exercise at all levels, there is an increased demand for appropriately trained practitioners to meet the needs of injured sports participants.
 
 This joint development between the Faculty of Health and Carnegie Faculty of Sports and Education, in collaboration with The Society of Sports Therapists, aims to produce graduate Sports Therapists who are eligible and qualified to practice.   The course will include modules focused on the underpinning anatomy and physiology; activity, fitness and psychosocial aspects of sport. There is particular emphasis on the evidence that  informs therapeutic intervention. Elements of practice based working will form an important part of this programme.
