Open to anyone over the age of 18 years who is currently undertaking a programme of study which is accredited by The Society of Sports Therapists. Student Members receive copies of The Society of Sports Therapists’ publications when and as they are available and are enrolled into the Society and British Journal of Sports Medicine (BJSM) Schemes or equivalent. They are also eligible to attend courses, seminars and conferences organised for and recognised by The Society of Sports Therapists. Student Members are not eligible to vote on issues raised during General Meetings. Student Members have access to a restricted Member and Student Member area on The Society of Sports Therapists' website.
Undergraduate Students studying at Universities that have collaborative agreements with The Society of Sports Therapists are automatically enrolled as Student Members of the Society. These include Bournemouth, Buckinghamshire New, Coventry, Edge Hill, Leeds Beckett (formally Leeds Metropolitan), London Metropolitan, Birmingham City, Southampton Solent and Staffordshire Universities, the Universities of Central Lancashire, Chichester, Derby, East London, Essex, Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Lincoln, Wales Trinity Saint David, Worcester plus University College Birmingham, Hartpury College, York College, Portobello Institute at Croke Park (Dublin) and the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong.
